Ultrasound

Our ultrasound machines are able to look at areas of the body that x-rays are not suitable for – namely soft tissue structures such as abdominal organs. Our vets are able to use ultrasound for procedures such as:

• Pregnancy diagnosis or birthing difficulties
• Cardiology investigations
• Investigation into organ problems – such as liver or kidney disease

Ultrasound is very useful as it is very safe, non-invasive and can often be performed in animals without any sedation or anaesthetic.
