Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is when your pet’s blood pressure is persistently higher than normal. As many of us embark on New Year’s resolution diet and fitness regimes, lots of our dogs would benefit from accompanying us. When the kidneys aren’t working properly, waste products build up in the bloodstream and the body tries to compensate for the loss of the other functions. When too much kidney function is lost, signs of illness start to show in your pet.
